Max Jorge Hinderer Cruz

Max Jorge Hinderer Cruz works is an independent writer and publicist and a doctoral candidate at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He is currently researching the topic of ideological criticism and materialist aesthetics, as well as the history of Brazilian underground culture in the 1960s and '70s. In 2013 he co-edited (along with Eva Birkenstock, Jens Kastner, and Ruth Sonderegger) the collection of essays ‘Kunst und Ideologiekritik after 1989' in a series of the Kunsthaus Bregenz, published by the Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther König Cologne/Berlin; he also published the essay ‘Hélio Oiticica and Neville D'Almeida: Block-Experiments in Cosmococa' (co-authored with Sabeth Buchmann) with Afterall Books London and MIT Press Cambrigdge.
